Hi, I am new in this forum. I am experiencing connection problem with my PL/SQL Developer. It is my first time to connect with 11g and I am getting this error message. I would appreciate hearing a solution from you.

ERROR MESSAGE

ACCESS VIOLATION AT ADDRESS 67614564 IN MODULE 'ORA805.dll'. WRITE OF ADDRESS 00000160.

BTW, the version of my PL/SQL is 7.0.3.1123.

For Oracle11g you may want to use a more recent version of Oracle Net than version 8.0.5. If you have multiple Oracle Homes, you can select the most recent one through Tools > Preferences > Oracle / Connection.

Hi Marco, We have Oracle 11g installed in Mozambique with different character set and when i am trying to login in PLSQl developer getting this error ACCESS VIOLATION AT ADDRESS 67614564 IN MODULE 'ORA805.dll'. WRITE OF ADDRESS 00000160. Please advise what needs to do in detail to resolve this issue. It will be very helpful. Mozambique DB with character set is AL32UTF8

You should update to an Oracle11g Client. Your current Oracle 8.0.5 is not compatible.

If you already have an Oracle11g Client installed, you can go to Preferences > Oracle / Connection and select the 11g home from the Oracle Home selection list. Restart PL/SQL Developer and try again.
