The installation of the 3.4 beta cleared the library list in the D5 Environment Options. The first clue was when I tried to add OraclewwDataset (the Infopower Dataset component). The compiler couldn't find VCL50(.dcp).

The contents of the library path are stored in the registry under...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Borland\Delphi\5.0\Library\Search Path

Until Marco verifies and fixes the problem, it would be prudent to Export (Registry | Export Registry File) this key to a file prior to installing the beta. You then could Import the list after installing the beta, if necessary.

Also, I would recommend taking a snapshot of the current list of directories prior to installing the beta as follows...

1)Make the Delphi Environment Options the active window.

2) Press Alt-PrintScreen (save image to clipboard)

3) Open WordPad and Paste the contents of the clipboard.

4) Save Wordpad file or just keep it open while you install the beta.

There was a problem with search paths larger than 255 characters [Linked Image], we have made a corrected version available for download.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
