Hello

Is there a DOA build for RAD Studio XE2 available?

Thanks

Ole
Almost. We are doing some final tests before releasing a 32 bit and 64 bit Delphi XE2 version later this week. A C++Builder XE2 version will follow a little bit later.

Can you tell me the status of this.

I have bought XE2, and 1 license of DOA.
Serial 02.75367.
Is this license also good for XE2.

Kind Regards
Rob van Scheppingen
The Delphi XE2 version is available on our web site. You are indeed entitled to this version.

I have bought the C++builder XE2.

Can I use the Delphi version?
If not, when is the C++Buider version ready?

Kind Regards
Rob van Scheppingen
You cannot use the Delphi version. The C++Builder version will be out in 1 or 2 weeks.

Thanks.

I have downloaded the XE2 version.
How can I register this version?
I can only run it from within the builder.
I had installed an older version of DOA, could that be the problem?

Kind Regards

Can you send an e-mail with your license information to support?

Thanks.

After reading the license information, I remebered I have to download from the register page.
I did, and now it works.

I've not had luck with the XE2 version. I downloaded today and installed as usual. The package is showing in the list of design packages under the component menu, "Direct Oracle Access 4.1.3". However it's not checked. If I check it then it says it "..can't be installed because it was created with a different version of Delphi".

This is the "second" edition of XE2. Shortly after release Embarcadero asked for previous XE2 to be uninstalled, re-downloaded and reinstalled. This XE2 was downloaded this week.

I've got 2010 and XE with DOA also installed on this machine. Could they be conflicting ?
We'll check it out.

Ok. My mistake. My project was still pointing at the same /bin folder. It was my DCU's that needed a rebuild. "Clean All" fixed it.
Okay, thanks for letting me know.

Ok. It appears to be back again. I did a complete uninstall of DOA (Windows 7 x32) it was present under the programs list as DOA for XE and DOA for XE. Uninstalled both.

Started XE2.Checked it was not in the list of packages for XE2. Shut down XE2.

Did clean install. Checked on the packages list, it's there as Direct Oracle Access 4.1.3, but not checked. I've got no projects open and if I check it then I get the message again that it "...can't be installed because it was created with a different version of Delphi or CBuilder".

Not sure how I managed to get a build of my program after doing a clean, but it did, once.

Ok. This appears to be working now. The issue appears to be that the file
doa41dXE2.dcp was in C:\Users\Public\Documents\RAD Studio\9.0\Bpl and not in C:\Users\Public\Documents\RAD Studio\9.0\Dcp - I moved it and everything seems to work ok now. Quite possibly this is because I failed to do a clean of my app and libs before rebuilding - but all seems to be ok again now.
